CONTACT TRACER

The case of a missing violin is instrumental in bringing two people together when they should stay six feet apart.

By the fall of 2020, Evelyn James has perfected the art of staying home.  Museums are shuttered, her conservation job is on hold, and working as a contact tracer keeps her almost as isolated as the people she tells to quarantine… until a private detective knocks on her door.

Patrick Duke is on the trail of a stolen Stradivarius violin.  A former college athlete still treating life like a pickup game, he expects a lead from Evelyn, not a spark.  Quiet, fierce, and upfront about her anxiety in a way Duke has never been about his own secret fears, their chemistry heats up as the mystery deepens, propelling them through the cautiously reopening streets of New York City and into each other’s beds.

That’s where it would usually end for Duke, but this time it’s different.  These times are different, and so are his feelings for Evelyn.  If his behavior isn’t different though, it’s still going to end the same…
